WHO WE ARE
BUILDING A BETTER COMMUNITY BY BUILDING BETTER LIVES
We are a local non-profit that has been working in this community for nearly twenty years. We take the long approach in impacting the community. We have relationships with people in the community that go back twenty years or more. We come alongside them through tutoring and mentoring, Christian Counseling and life coaching, Backyard Bible Clubs and dinners, Summer camp, mom’s Bible studies, education on motherhood, and more.
Our desire is to meet needs, bring hope, give value, create community, instill confidence, provide opportunity, teach life skills and most importantly, share the love of Jesus.
WHAT WE DO
ACADEMIC
We stress the importance of education.
We meet Monday’s and Wednesdays from 3:30-5:00.
Our academics include children ages kindergarten through 12th grade.
We provide middle and high school mentoring/Bible Study on Wednesday nights from 6:00-7:30.
SOCIAL
With our smaller children we stress character, including: truthfulness, good manners, accountability, and dependability.
Our older children are given instruction in: hygiene, car maintenance, cooking, drug abstinence, dispute resolution, and job interview skills.
SPIRITUAL
While we do not promote any denomination, we acknowledge God and Jesus Christ.
We strive to demonstrate love in every activity and circumstance.
We make this stance known immediately and openly to all participants in the program and those that wish to sponsor our efforts.
WHAT WE OFFER
KIDS KAMP
Kids Kamp is in the Summer.
Camp is generally 4 days and 3 nights in the great outdoors.
Kids will build friendships and grow in their relationships with Jesus through Bible Study, indoor and outdoor activities such as boating, kayaking, hiking, swimming, crafts, and free time.
Camp is open to as many children as we can financially afford. Cost is $180-200 per child.
